If you go to see, bring tissues.  And come back here and share your thoughts with me. I am keeping to myself to avoid spoilers (sorry friends on my facebook) but would love to know your thoughts.

No idea what was in this envelope.  Clearly I saved it for some reason.  Today it strikes me how the hospital staff noted well, what they noted. View image. You will see what I mean. Good thing I did not want privacy.

Think About It

All things are subject to interpretation whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth - Nietzche

Topics

Exactly.

"When a mother is forced to choose between the child and the culture, there is something abhorrently cruel and unconsidered about that culture. A culture that requires harm to one's soul in order to follow the cultures prescriptions is a very sick culture indeed. This 'culture' can be the one a woman lives in, but more damning yet, it can be the one she carries around and complies with within her own mind....." -- Women Who Run With The Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes

On Loss

Adoption loss is the only trauma in the world where the victims are expected by the whole of society to be grateful - The Reverend Keith C. Griffith, MBE.

Yup.

"The first few weeks at home, I cried all the time. I'd lock myself in the bathroom or go to my room. I cried all night but I didn't let anybody hear me because I felt like I was being bad. I wasn't doing what they said I was supposed to do, which was: "Get over it. Move on with your life and put it behind you." I thought, "Crap, I can't even do this right." - The Girls Who Went Away
