Irony of love is loving the right person at the wrong time, having the wrong person when the time is right & finding out you love someone right after that person walks out of your life. Sometimes, you think you’re already over a person, but when you see them smile at you, you’ll suddenly realize that you’re just pretending to be over them just to ease the pain of knowing that they will never be yours again. For some, they think that letting go is one way of expressing how much you love the person. Most relationships tend to fail not because the absence of love. Love is always present. It’s just that one was being loved too much & the other was being loved too little. We all know that the heart is the center of the body but it beats on the left. Maybe that’s the reason why the heart is not always right. So here’s a piece of advice: Let go when you’re hurting too much. Give up when love isn’t enough, and move on when things are not like before. -Grey’s Anatomy

There IS only grace.
“Like any other gift, the gift of grace can be yours only if you’ll reach out and take it. Maybe being able to reach out and take it is a gift too.” – Unknown
An adoptee friend on my facebook shared this song/video with me. It moved me to tears. She stated when she first heard it the first few lyrics made her think of me. When I listened to it, reflecting on her words, it made me gasp for air.
Validation, love, support, understanding goes a long long way with me. When you have had none, when you have been at your most vulnerable and with child, when all who are supposed to love you discard you and your child, well, the reverse feeling can be quite powerful.
Adoption has caused many bad things in my life. It damaged me, my marriage, my subsquent children, all the relationships in my life.
Yet oddly, in many ways it has also helped. It has given me love, support and understanding from the most unexpected places.
Thank you friend. You know who you are. And thanks to all of you this coming Thanksgiving week in the US. Those that read here, support me, comment constructively and with love, I am thankful for you. You help me to survive the biggest loss and greatest trauma in my life.
You are my grace.
