I mentioned prior to my attendance at AAC that I was pondering a retirement from adoption and this blog. Friends suggested that rather than shut it down and export it, I consider disabling comments. This would allow me to walk away, leave it for others to read, but eliminate need for me to moderate, approve, engage with commentors. I will do that in the coming days.
I have appreciated the many comments, friends, learnings and support this blog has given me. I am at a crossroads where I wish to focus heavily on other areas of my life, areas that do not involve regularly ripping my heart open to the pain of loss trying to make sense of something that will never make sense.
Thank you all for being here, there and everywhere for the past ten plus years.
Really love you, Suz. You are the definition of remarkable, and I’m so glad you are a friend. Thanks for being you.
Right back atcha gf! I know we will keep in touch via FB and other channels. You are def one of the golden nuggets I have found on this difficult path.
Privilege to get to know you through your blog. I think you have done a lot to move understanding further along the path – even if the path ahead is still very long!! May we meet IRL sometime – you too Margie.
Thank YOU Suz! I’m so very glad that we got to meet in person before your “retirement”. I will always be thankful that I found you in the weeks after reunion, when you helped me know that I really wasn’t finally losing my mind! You wrote the words that my brain and heart didn’t even fully understand yet, and helped me find my own words. Much love to you my friend and many wishes for a great future ~ I can’t wait to read your book!
