Adoption Healing Support Groups in CT

An adoptee friend shared the link below with me and asked me to attend a support group meeting with her. I was vaguely aware of these support groups.  An individual contacted me a few weeks ago and asked me to attend. I was not able to at that time.  The group now comes to me from a closer, secondary source.  A sign? Perhaps.

No surprise most are directed at adoptive parents. Friend and I hope to attend in the future.

Sharing here for anyone that might be in CT and looking for such services/groups. I can not yet comment on quality. My past experience is that support groups can be much like church parishes. There are progressive, cool, supportive, comfortable ones grounded in reality and there are those that are radical in nature and expect you to wear a purple shoes, wear Nikes and drink koolaid. I am hoping these are the former. Until I attend, I cannot comment. I am sure I will once I have attended.
