thank you again! Since telling our 7 and 9 yos a month ago, on the day they actually met their half sister, they’ve had little to say about it. But I’ve overheard them talking about it with their friends. We’re still feeling our way, and now I worry about the people in the family that never knew (aunts, uncles) and how to tell them.

bears mommy – my unsolicited advice is to trust yourself and trust your children. they can be quite remarkable. i thought long and hard and played out all the scenarios and worst cases in my head (like them finding out from someone else, them finding out when they were teens, etc.). When the time was right, I knew and I went with it. I wish the same for you.

wow – i am at a loss how we are going to tell my children about their twin half brothers. i wish there was a book or something about parenting after reliquisment. how our our kids suppose to deal with it? it sounds like you are doing a great job though!
