Adoptee Rights Protest

2012 July 10
by Suz Bednarz

Its official.

I am not attending Adoptee Rights in Chicago due to my physical limitations. I am still unable to drive, unable to work full-time. I see my surgeon end of the month and will get a sense of next steps (PT, when I can drive, return to work full-time, etc.).  Additionally, even if I had medical clearance, I would struggle with financial clearance. My husband lost his job a few weeks back.

Best of luck to all who attend and thank you to the Adoptee Rights group for all they do. While my daughter has full access to her info should she ask me for it, the reality is, she shouldnt have to ask.  It should be a given.

Damn, I was looking forward to meeting you. In the meanwhile, I hope you mend quickly and completely, and your husband finds the job of his dreams.

Suz, I’m glad you’re taking care of yourself, taking it easy for a while longer. I decided not to go to Chicago a while back. I would have been heartbroken if I were going and didn’t get to meet you! Another time…

I am sorry for the medical limitations you are under right now and for your husband’s job loss. Take care of yourself.

I’m sorry you are not recovered yet, I hope you are getting a little better each day? It sounds like you’ve been through hell. I hope your DH finds another job soon. Hugs.

I got room in the car and would gladly drive you my sweet! As I recall someone I know chauffeured me around when I was broken!

Very sweet of you neighbor. Sadly, finances, work, and physical limitations still plague me. Go get em!
