Reader Poll Results – Kinda

“I haven’t trusted polls since I read that 62% of women had affairs during their lunch hour. I’ve never met a woman in my life who would give up lunch for sex.” – Erma Bombeck

Thank you to all who participated in my very informal and highly questionable reader survey.

I posted a reader survey two years ago and was interested how my current reader/respondent base might compare. Results are below.

A few notes:

  • I realize that there are more categories than listed here. Specifically and perhaps most notably is the category of adoptee/firstmom.  I know several of you are out there (like my friend JM, Carol and Allison). In hindsight I wish I had included that category as I am often asked if I have friends that fall into that demographic. I am usually asked by other adoptee/firstmoms that are looking to connect with other adoptee/firstmoms. Next time I do this I will add that category. For now, anyone interested in hooking up with that demographic can write me privately. I have provided a few introductions to date and happy to do so going forward.
  • I was really hoping those that selected Other would explain their Other status. Thank you to those (like Thorn, Liz and JM) that did.
  • I am curious about the 2 people that are friends of mine.  I suspect one is my fiance (Hello Boogs!) but the other? Hmmm. Curious.  Sister?
  • Someone asked me via email why I did not list “My daughter” as an option.  Putting aside the fact that I find the suggestion totally weird and creepy, I am 99.9% certain she doesn’t read here and would never check that. Furthermore, I could imagine some sicko would check that. Paranoid much? No. Let us not forget this post “Scam I Am”.

You will also note the categories are different or labeled differently (hence the unscientific, totally questionable, don’t quote these stats aspect of this poll). It was purely for amusement.
