Read Elsewhere. Can Relate.

Irony of love is loving the right person at the wrong time, having the wrong person when the time is right & finding out you love someone right after that person walks out of your life. Sometimes, you think you’re already over a person, but when you see them smile at you, you’ll suddenly realize that you’re just pretending to be over them just to ease the pain of knowing that they will never be yours again. For some, they think that letting go is one way of expressing how much you love the person. Most relationships tend to fail not because the absence of love. Love is always present. It’s just that one was being loved too much & the other was being loved too little. We all know that the heart is the center of the body but it beats on the left. Maybe that’s the reason why the heart is not always right. So here’s a piece of advice: Let go when you’re hurting too much. Give up when love isn’t enough, and move on when things are not like before. -Grey’s Anatomy

  1. “Let go when you’re hurting too much.”

I had to do that in regards to my sister. Took me a long, long time to realize just how much energy I was putting into something she didn’t much care about.

  2. Suz,

This post speaks to so many times in my life. So often I have thought that I’d let go, but not really, too often been forced to because the loved one was just gone. My son’s father, boyfriends after that, and now my son. Well, he wants me back but on his terms which are not good.

I sense that both of us are learning about letting go, struggling with it, for different reasons. As always, I appreciate your wisdom…

Good luck to both of us!
